DOC Energy and Environmental
Stewardship Award History

Commerce Department initiated the Energy and Environmental Stewardship Award in 2009 to recognize the outstanding stewardship practices and conservation achievements of its employees and partners for efforts that significantly contribute to or promote environmental stewardship within the environmental, energy, or transportation programs under Executive Order (EO) 13423, Strengthening Federal Environmental Energy and Transportation Management.

While the program highlights stewardship, it also provides awareness and educational examples and ideas which may be useful on future projects.

In the past, nominations have been submitted by a diverse mix of teams. A partial list includes: The BTOP Team, Department Sustainability Team, and the HCHB Green Team.
