Examples of Two Variations of an About Us Page for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Choose between these two variations depending on whether whether you have separate strategic and performance plans for the Operating Unit, or specific No FEAR data, etc.
For completeness, it is probably a good idea to have links to FOIA, Information Quality, Privacy Policy, and FirstGov on the About Us page as in variation two below. However, these links are in any case required to be directly on all Major Web Site home pages regardless of whether they are also placed on the About Us page. Additionally, the Privacy Policy link must be on all pages which are major points of entry and any page where personally identifiable information is collected.
Variation One: For use when you do not have separate strategic and performance plans for the Operating Unit, or specific No FEAR data, etc.
Variation One Example:
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is an Operating Unit of the Department of Commerce.
