There are a number of policies and guidelines that pertain to travel. The overarching policy for Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
Where the FTR allows Agency flexibility, the Departmental Travel Handbook further defines DOC’s travel policies. The OFM/OFRIC Travel Management Division is responsible for the Travel Handbook. A DOC policy expert can be reached at (202) 482-1818.
