Our office provides guidance and oversight for complying with seismic standards developed by the Interagency Committee on Seismic in Construction (ICSSC). The standards provide Federal agencies with minimum life-safety levels for both the seismic evaluation and the seismic rehabilitation of buildings. Executive Order 12941 requires Federal agencies to inventory their building stock and develop data on the cost of seismically rehabilitating it.
