The
Department of Commerce (DOC) has implemented Sunflower
Assets as its enterprise Personal Property Management System
(PPMS). Six
bureaus (ITA, NTIS, NIST, PTO, and Census) will migrate
their asset data into the PPMS to support the goals of
paperless processing, reduction of redundant data systems
and increasing asset accountability and department wide
reporting capabilities.
The end
goal is for Commerce staff to be able to quickly and
efficiently access records department-wide, reduce data
entry, enhance paperless processing, and report across the
enterprise.
