Property Officials

The DOC Personal Property Official Certification Program Handbook, dated July 2008, outlines a property management training curriculum for Department Property Officials.

In order for a certification to be issued for the new Property Official, the following procedures must be followed:

  1. Property Official shall complete the required training requirements. Upon completion of the required training classes, the new Property Official must provide any training certifications and/or acknowledgement statements to the Bureau Property Management Officer (PMO) for validation.
  2. The Bureau PMO shall submit a memorandum requesting certification for the Property Official to the OS Property Management Office. The OS Property Management Office is located at the Herbert C. Hoover Building in Room 2857.
  3. Once a memorandum is received, a certification will be issued to the Departmental Property Management Officer for signature.
