Mission: The mission of the Personal Property Management Division (PPMD) is to ensure the Department of Commerce personal property assets serve the missions of our bureaus.  The Division provides policy, oversight, and strategic planning to ensure continued compliance with relevant Federal laws and regulations.  PPMD’s strategic goals encompass a life-cycle approach to asset management: planning, budgeting, acquisition, management in-use, and disposal. Other services that PPMD provide include: overseeing the Secretary’s Gift Fund; monitoring and overseeing the Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB) central receiving/excess disposition of personal property; and overseeing the Department’s motor vehicle fleet management program.
