MISSION
|
The mission of the Energy, Environmental, and Transportation Division is to facilitate responsible energy consumption and optimize renewable energy without compromising the Department's mission and to promote environmental stewardship within the Department by providing Department-wide policy, oversight, and strategic planning to observe, manage, and protect the Earth's resources in a sustainable manner.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES
- Minimize the Department's impact to the environment;
- Accomplish the environmental stewardship, energy conservation, and transportation management goals of the President's Management Agenda and attain green on the Office of Management and Budget Scorecard;
- Reduce energy consumption and implement alternative energy projects;
- Fully comply with energy, environmental, and transportation regulations;
- Provide assistance and technical expertise to the Operating Units in support of these programs; and
- Minimize the drain on Operating Unit resources through streamlined reporting and centralized management.
