Travel Regulations

There are a number of different sets of policies and guidelines that pertain to travel. The overarching Federal policy for Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).

Where the FTR allows Agency flexibility, the Commerce Travel Handbook (CTH) further defines DOC’s travel policies. The OAS Travel Management Division is responsible for the CTH. A DOC policy expert can be reached at (202) 482-1818.
